Welcome

Today is the day after Valentine's Day. It is the day after the Day of Love, the day that for many, represents a chance for you or someone who loves you, to show what love means to them.

I am Erin Kincaid, the lead Biblical Counselor & founder at Higher Hopes Counseling. I wanted to launch this ministry the day after the worldwide celebration of love. Why? It's simple, and I will draw on the word of The Master to share with you.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.

Love never gives up,

never loses faith,

is always hopeful,

and endures through every circumstance. (NLT)

That is from The Bible, from a book known to many as Corinthians. 1 Corinthians, Chapter 13 to be exact. Next to what Jesus did on the cross for us, it is the most perfect definition of love. Many people, Christians or not, love to recite those words at weddings and on special occasions. Many though, don't know just how hard it is to love like that.

Love that endures through every circumstance?

Love does not boast, it is not prideful?

That is one tough kind of love. Yet, at the same time it is the sweetest, purest kind of love too. That's just like God to give us something so perfect and then cover it in sweetness like no other. Not even a box full of chocolates could match.

It is with this love, that I build this ministry and counseling service. Everyone deserves the tools to work towards a relationship that exemplifies how God love us- unabashedly, and willing to sacrifice everything. Higher Hopes Counseling is built upon the Word of God and with the knowledge that His love and guidance can heal any relationship and guide anyone to a closer relationship with Him.

Thank you and I look forward to serving you & yours.

Erin
